COLORLITES specialise in the Ceramic coating of Glass Bulbs and Tubes for the lamp industry and also coating finished
lamps with coloured lacquers.
Generally the outer part of a lamp can be called a Bulb or Envelope or even a glass shell.
We are able to ceramic coat the outside of a shell with a variety of colours and finishes. The material is sprayed onto the glass and then fired on at high temperature to give a totally sealed in finish. The colour then withstands the lamp making process.
We are able to blend some of the colours to give different shades, but not all colours are available in a ceramic, and it is therefore necessary to use a lacquer.
Lacquers are applied to finished lamps and allow the end user far more scope in colour selection.
